Very enjoyable day at the WLLR Gala yesterday. Haven't been there for a couple of years, so was great to be back to this lovely little line.

Lots to see and do with the Garden Railway Show and all the attractions at the two ends, alongside 5 locos in operation. Did it as a (long) day trip from home, but could easily have spent two days there!
A little bit of rain, but not as bad as forecasts were suggesting in the past week, and at least no risk of lineside fires.

Timetable went astray by about 35-40mins, which isn't too bad, but this actually worked well for me as I got back from the leisure centre just in time to jump on the late-running trip with 1877, which I wouldn't have got a run behind otherwise.
Still managed to get back to Welshpool in plenty of time for my mainline train home.
The shuttle buses to/from the main line station were very welcome, saved the walk up the hill through the town.
