Unfortunately 985 has had to withdrawn from the event and will be replaced by Peckett 2111 Lytham St Annes. Info from the event Facebook page.

 

Despite the dull day, this wonderful event shined. Perfect locos, lovely atmosphere...and the most exquisitely restored coaches running in the north(?). The reconstructed signal box sets a very high standard too. If you're lucky enough to be heading over in the sunshine of the next 2 days, here's an idea of what to expect...

 

Lovely first time visit to the railway, very friendly staff and a good turnout it seemed too! Here's a short video of day, topped off with a parallel run featuring both visiting locos!
