Tornado has reportedly left her support coach in Alloa loop this evening due to a bad flat. Northern Belle seems to have terminated at Stirling - two hours late - and remains there now.

Diesel en route from Carnforth to Edinburgh Joppa as a Class 5 - new support coach in tow?

 

Wow they really are pulling out on the stops so the White Rose runs with Tornado at the helm!

 

5Z17 Stirling - Joppa with 60163, the NB set, and 57313.

47848 heading north with fresh support coach, already not far from Carstairs.

 

And I believe there is a good reason for that, but it is not for me to report. Sorry

Latest SVR Branchlines reports both 13628 and 4930 are to be moved by rail to Derby for the Greatest Gathering around 21st July. Both former mainline favourites, but the first time on the mainline for either loco in a number of years - 40 years for Hagley Hall!
A number of diesels, 4 coaches and a DMU are also being sent and are presumably also likely to be moved by rail.

 

60163 Joppa - York move reportedly off for now. Should have left 35 minutes ago.

 

That's interesting. Gotta be honest I've been amazed by the efforts pulled off to make this trip run with Tornado. As someone who planned on seeing it and thought for sure it wouldn't run with Tornado I am very pleased!

 

This movement from the Watercress Line back to the SVR appears to have been cancelled as it is no longer on Realtime trains.

Update: D213 returned straight to Crewe after it's railtour to Kingswear. The move to Southall has been cancelled 'due to a request by the operator'.

 

21.40 5z63 Orton Mere to Southall today 13th. Max speed 60mph ,almost certainly Tornado. See Realtime.

 

Not sure what the path is about, but Tornado isn't leaving the NVR today.

So what else is at the NVR that would be heading for Southall?

 

No idea. But there's no pilotman, guard or signalman rostered or STN on HOPs for the NVR part, so if the original plan had been for her to leave today, it's now been changed.
