It's all six lights, so I don't think any recognised headcode.

(Royal train would be the three across the buffer beam and one under the chimney, but the other two would be extinguished).

Don't think the Polar Express is set in any particular country (unless it's the USA) so I don't think prototypical lamp codes would apply!

Ah, So that was you with the tripod at the country end of the up platform then! I did not appreciate the large amount of smoke produced by 34070 when doing the token exchange, but very pleasing to see that the first two trains were full, However the last trip had less than two coach loads of participants.
You mentioned about the class 33 sounding louder, That is because it is providing the electric train heating on the train.
    Great picture.

According to the Swanage Railway heritage coach Facebook page the work on the carriage shed is FINALY going ahead and looks to be starting during the January shutdown towards February half term.

We here all know how much this is needed and the availability to have 10 entire coaches fully protected from the salty rain and.. sunlight will be great

I cant remember exactly where it was mentioned (Sitrep?) but publication has been suspended / ceased as the Editor has other, more urgent / important commitments and is not able to devote the required time to it. It is not by choice but by circumstance.

Obviously, the running stock will not be stabled at Herston, only the out of service stuff. Queue the fund raising for a carriage shed to cover sidings 1 & 2 at Swanage.

Steve, that was suggested well over 30 years ago and was poo pooed and dismissed as not possible! There is actually no physical reason why a two road shed could not be constructed over sidings 1 and 2. Could also be cheap and cheerful.

Cannot remember the money side, even had a measure up and did a few sketches but if you remember virtually everything that was suggested that needed doing was rejected or told not necessary.
    Anyway MrD how are you?

Similar, it's all very much talk at the moment until Herston is up. But it's seen a a fairly important thing to get done especially now the belle isn't just sat up there.
