    It's a long list of woes. The Voith transmission toloerances were 10fold tight. so a lot more failures, though sorted as NBL quietly built Westenrn transmission a bit better... Yes the Whitworth threads confirm Imperial conversion. /But the well documented seizures on D6300, D601 and D6100 on tests/trials were down to poor tolerances and build quality. and many other problems/cooling/fires/pipes/valve seats/coupling/inadquate cooling.... and on!
    Swindon completely rebuilt D6332 engine with many improvements.
    The fact similar units still work in Germany tells a story.
    Such a shame but that's history.

    Deviating slightly, I'm excited about the opportunity to see D5910 running with the saved block from D5901. Looks great in primer so something positive is happening on that front. D5705 is another beast I'd love to see running as doyen of a forgotten class of diesel.
