The running-in turns aren’t in the timetable so I couldn’t say 100% for sure, but with three public trains each day (two service trains and a dining service) I’d say it would unlikely as the paths are not easily available.

32424 on the Golden Arrow will really be worth seeing- an echo of the 1952 "Brighton Works Centenary" special run by the RCTS:

The Bluebell-owned 4VEP unit 3417 'Gordon Pettitt' will be making its gala comeback after 11 years of restoration at the hands of SETG (Southern Electric Traction Group) at the forthcoming Bluebell Railway Diesel Gala, 6-8 September, were it will work push-pull with 33111.

It would be good to see her as East Kent Railway No 5!

I was particularly interested by the OTD photographs in this issue. Recreating O1/Bulleid or C/Bulleid double-headers might make an interesting spectacle for a future Bluebell gala, although marshaling an 11-coach train set to run behind them might be tricky! A Brighton Atlantic/4300 double header might also be possible once 5322 or 7325 are running again...

Simon, that Microsoft post is so spot on. And with text boxes too. Both of which I had to fight with my Short-eared Owl book, and again, and more so, with the SR Steam Loco memoirs book I am currently writing - that has very large numbers of timing logs in text boxes as well as photos. So bad in fact that I am expecting an email from the Royal Mint asking me to discontinue my study swear box.

Certainly sounds like visitors to the railway yesterday had plenty to see.

6989 and 73082 were out on service trains and both 32424 and the Class 73 were out of test trains.

There is a lunchtime arrow for the major donors and those associated with building the loco; then crew familiarisation trips in the evening.
