You may be right but things like this yesterday do not help and of course the New Forest is always seen as a potential big risk in any dry weather.
That of course will, I suspect, have a bearing on the EOSS next week. Still I suppose Clan Line on the front of a green 47 would like a steam rescuing a failed diesel event from 1967.

It was actually a 67 in Pullman livery so did blend in a bit. I'm on the next one on 18th July so keeping my fingers crossed for some rain in the SE

Let's hope that 44871 wasn't still in steam at Swanage on Monday, or I can see someone here saying that fire was caused by the wind carrying a spark from the Black 5. ;)

I believe the Intercity rake will be used on the NWCE as that’s being used on the Saltburn trip today and returns to Southall this evening

Although there seems to be this https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:U18663/2024-07-08/detailed which I guess means the carriage are needed for the Weymouth jobbie.

Anybody know why the NWCE has just departed Llandudno nearly an hour late?

I see they've regained some time by not going via Northampton.

Any reason why the NWCE on 14th is now showing as terminating at Llandudno and not Holyhead

Looks like the whole train is being taken back to Chester to turn. Still, at least Llandudno is a better destination than Holyhead on a Sunday afternoon!

RYTC still advertising the tour as terminating at Holyhead, possibly due to the time it takes to update the website. <BJ>

''Passengers have a choice of three destinations: the seaside town of Llandudno, the historic city of Bangor, or the port of Holyhead''.

Out of date info on that website is somewhat more forgiveable than info that is simply wrong, as sometimes appears, having been copied and pasted from a previous trip.
