Timetables are up for the the Mixed Traction Gala (or Rails & Ales to use the official title) taking place Friday to Sunday next weekend. https://www.nnrailway.co.uk/rails-ales/

Though the website has not been updated, the final guest has been announced on facebook as Class 37 37667 from LSL.
The path for this coming in on the mainline on Thursday: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:U02613/2024-06-06/detailed

Can't see any timings for the BLS railtour bringing 50008 & 33012 to the railway yet.

Over on the 6880 thread it seems that things are going very well with running in on the G&WSR.

Looking forward to seeing it on the NNR

Photo just posted on Facebook shows NCB No. 18 has arrived (from the Great Central) for the rest of the season with thanks to Locomotive Maintenance Services. According to the post assuming all goes okay, it should be running this weekend.

Nice to see a former resident return. The visiting Austerities are lovely but I’ll always prefer the ex-BR locomotives

Photos attached of both loco's 22 at NNR Holt {26/06/2024 }and NCB 18 at Rothley GCR on a Mountsorrel train{01/06/2024} .22 is chimney first out off Holt, not usual.

Is there an NNR loco (and train) roster available at all? I am staying in the area the week after next and would prefer to time my visit to see an engine I've not ridden behind before, if possible.

4277, D6732 and the 104/101 DMU are scheduled today (Thu 18) and tomorrow. Due to be joined by 53809 and D7659 (so 5 in service) for Make Tracks to the Sixties over the weekend.

All subject to usual caveats. 18, 22 and D5631 could step in should there be any need to change things.

They have "Victorian Sundays" where the Vintage Set is out, not sure if you are there during one of those but that will likely be hauled by 1700 "Wissington".

Yes I have very much enjoyed riding in the vintage set on previous visits. Absolutely superb carriages.

An interesting read as usual. How do the buckeye bars at the end work, what do they do? Not seen anything like that before, all we've got is a bent bit of pipe to help lift or lower them.

@M59137 Chris. Do the buckeye levers replace the chains normally present to release the buckeyes?
