    From the restart at Leamington we were up to 58 mph at Fosse Road and into Harbury Tunnel at 64.

    Very good if it was all Clun's own work, but there was rapid acceleration around mp 104 1/2 (37 to 47 mph in half a mile) so I'm a bit sceptical.

    I was at Uffington and both the Castle and 47 were working hard past me away from the restart at Challow

    We were put ahead of a late running Cheltenham train, so have had some shoves away from loops, but just had a sustained spell of very fast running west of Wooton Bassett, now well ahead of schedule.

    Looked and sounded absolutely stunning on the sea wall from Pics/Vids I’ve seen. Really well turned out, proper job :)

    Shame about those pesky red lamps that VT insist on using. Phased out by the mid 30s and never seen on a BR(W) loco…..But non the less a cracking trip it seems!
