    Surely its been in the paintshop already,or do you assume shes going back to green. Personally i think it looks great in BR blue.

    That's undercoat i think, personally speaking I'm hoping for lined experimental blue which was a darker hue than the express passenger blue, but, with the black and white lining I don't really mind, but Blue Peter in a blue livery with early tender transfer, would look right, and make it noticeable, to the general public,

    Now a regular traveller up and down the West Coast mainline, ex-LMS Stanier Class 5MT 4-6-0 No. 44871 runs through Hartford over ten minutes early on Tuesday 7th May 2024 while on a positioning move from St. Philip's Marsh, Bristol to Carnforth.

    It was just a record shot, in 2024 compromise is what it is, conveniently the sign hid some white builders bags left by the lineside (and I did exclude the yellow armco beyond the right of the shot :)) .

    This morning RTT showed a Crewe to Kidderminster ecs movement at the start of what looks like busy week for LSL.
    So purely out of curiosity I went to see having expected just light engine moves for the gala.
    37409 (built 1965 as D6970 at Vulcan Foundry) turned up with a mixture of blood and custard and Statesman coaches.
