You will need a long lens as 60007 will be more than 100 miles away. It is due to be 34046 this weekend.

Thanks Andrew, other places suggest it's 60007 for all the South West trips. same question then for 34046, but guess you don't know as you have not elicited an answer in the first place. 34046 is up here for tomorrow's trip to Carlisle and back to Blackpool.
Correction: just read 60007 is indeed staying north for the rest of the Fellsman series, so looks like 34046 heads south after tomorrow's trip

Hi, yes this is an error on our part. With all the many documents to proof read we are bound to miss some minor things. Best to disregard the platforming arrangements for these trains and see platform staff on the day if you are confused. The Ops Notice for the weekend is correct which is the main thing!

Our understanding is that the second LSL engine will be 34046 Braunton but we'll see what they send!

Whatever it may be, it will arrive at 17:24 at Bishops Lydeard on Friday. It will be out on the Torbay run on Saturday, on display at BL on Sunday, and not on display on Monday.

Oh to be in Somerset, now that Spring is there....

Really looking forward to this, the WSR never disappoints me, that's why I keep coming back.

Last year I'm pretty sure I noticed people buying normal short-hop returns as well as rovers. Are these available again this year or is it rovers only? Planning to do at least one full day there myself on a rover but also might be able to nip out after work for a short evening trip on another day given how late into the evening the timetable runs.

Fantastic news, thanks Seb. I see why lines go for rover-only at galas sometimes but as the WSR is only half an hour from me this is a case where being able to potentially nip out in the evening for an extra trip after work means I'll end up spending more with you than I would've done, so that policy's much appreciated!

As long as you have enough TTI's I think that is a really smart move.

Quick question, when do advance ticket bookings close? Can’t see a date mentioned on the website? Thanks in advance!

Very nice photos and videos appearing online of the event. Been watching on webcam so far, getting great vibes!!

Only thing I notice, when running late, trains are leaving MD when the train they are crossing at BA is still waiting for a crossing at WN. This was a bugbear of mine back in the days of 1 hour late by the end of the day being a regular occurrence. Something to note?

I've got to say this has been a great Gala so far and the time keeping has been pretty good on the whole. Highlights for me a very vigorous run from BL to Williton behind Mayflower yesterday, albeit with a few slips, not surprising given she is such a willing steed: then a more assured run, again with Mayflower today am with no slips that I noticed. 6695 this morning was a bit "fore and aft", a bit jerky, maybe the vale timings are a bit off but she was still a worthy steed.

That Fruit C in the parcels rake is a lovely piece of work, now if only the Siphon G in the siding at Dunster could be brought back into action.....

My thanks to one and all for this event: looking forward to tomorrow and then the long drive home - around 205 miles but I make this journey every Spring when there's a Gala because, as I've said before: It's the WSR: and it's worth it.
