    I’m sure some CME’s were scheduled to start from BFS in the 2000’s. I travelled behind the Duke on one with my dad and sons, but can’t remember the exact date.

    We only did half a dozen assorted runs into or out of BFS but only between 1992 and 1994. Only one with the Duke was the seriously rapid Blue Riband run that was part of the 5th Feb 1994's Cumbrian Mountain Limited from Carlisle. Only one way steam in those days.
