    Not directly related to the gala, but the Traffic Notices for next Saturday and Sunday on the Operations page on SVR Live suggest that 4079 is rostered on normal services.

    They've sent a marketing email out about the extra 4079 trains. Someone has made a mistake though, as the email begins with the line "Thank you for visiting this weekend's Spring Steam Gala". However, I didn't go to the gala. Unfortunately I had family stuff going on at the weekend. I assume they've sent it out to their entire mailing list and not noticed that first line!

    Anyone that misses 4079, were looking at double digit operating days during the month long visit to the GWSR . In the meantime enjoy it at the Svr and the mid Hants gala first.

    That weekend will take a lot of beating. I did the Saturday and Sunday. Had some mind-blowing runs behind the manor and the castle. The SVR always delivers!
