61994 Best remembered moments

Absolutely nobody has the right to begrudge Mr Cameron doing what he would like to with his engines, especially after nearly six decades of caring for 60009. Still can't help but wish he'd have a change of heart though.

 

I never managed to get a ride behind her. I was at the SVR on the day that she suffered the crank axle failure in 1997. I had planned to travel behind her on this occasion but it was not to be

 

With 4555’s recent visit as well perhaps this is the best place to post this?
I could be be wrong but wasn’t 3442 based at Stourbridge for a while?

It just looks a little bit better quality than some of the films you see on YouTube from that era.

As far as I can recall, 3442 was based entirely at Neville Hill until moving to the Severn Valley.

No enthusiasts were run over or hurt in the making of this film.

 

I certainly found it rather easy to recognise some of the locations featured through the picture quality.

 

Steve I’m possibly confusing things with a photo I saw some time ago of 3442 on shed at SBJ.

 

Aye its a mighty shame.
He can do what he likes unless it was taken into the national collection.
Perhaps he'll see some ghosts of steam trains past at Xmas and change his mind
