One important item that nobody has mentioned yet is the weather forecast for the Gala period. I've just had a look at the forecast and it indicates that the rain stops on Friday ,then the whole 9 days of the Gala are dry with sunshine & cloud.
Hopefully it will be warm enough to encourage visitors to sample the large range of ales available.

    Bob.

Good point, but one thing mate. You missed out that if its cloudy - time for a pint, now that just about sums up most likely weather possibilities!

    Bring on the weekend

Anyway... Back to gala stuff. Keep a look out for some of my headboards that will be used throughout the gala. These include:

    Festiniog Railway Special,
    Talyllyn Railway Special,
    Cambrian Coast Express (early version),
    Cambrian Radio Cruise,
    Emerald Isle Express,
    The Welsh Chieftain,
    Glyn Valley Tramway special,
    Flying Scotsman,
    The South Yorkshireman,
    Scottish Railtour,

And if i can find an appropriate time to use it - The Phartonian...

Well i can proudly announce that the purple moose has landed and is stored ready for the gala.
More beer is predicted to arrive in waves throughout the week and will of course be stored in a secret location.

I couldn't say but it'll be joined by a van tonight for all the beer glass. There are 250 boxes of the things arriving tomorrow or something like that.

I have it and I think it's good. A page for each loco is very useful, as is the general information on the railway, and the colourful timetable.

When Admin is running our Buffet Lounge Car bar he might notice the low temperature because the heating , which is pressure ventilation, ain't working !
We have got the hot water sorted out so we can now serve tea & coffee.

Is it possible to buy a souvenir guide on the day complete with working timetable and all the rest of the information?

As I only recently decided on going (weather dependent), such missed the date that the applications had to be in buy.

    Thanks

The event guides will be available on the day, but they don't have a working timetable in, just a timetable with loco numbers..

Normally park at Carrog when visiting your wonderful railway - but, with all the exhibits planned there, will this still be possible ?

It was felt the working timetable would be too confusing for the general public.

As it is, the guide includes 9 pages for the timetables - 1 for each day.
