BTW, is it fair to assume that the two Lickey ascent trips on 18 March will be six coaches?

A more immediate thing are the times for 4th March. Nothing on RTT. Is it going to happen?

Still a long way off in RTT terms.

Would NR not need to know what the TOC's plan to run and when before pathing a charter as it is a strike day.

As far as I know 4th March isn’t a strike day, though 18th is and not only have the times been up for this for some time but Vintage have confirmed it will run. I can’t plan my train plan to see the 4th March dh Castles and go to Didcot until the times are known. Have Vintage asked NR for a path?

I'm in the same situation. I'm planning to get an IET down to Didcot to attend the event, but need to know what time the Castles arrive so I can study GWR's timetable and plan the day. Thankfully the line blockage at Charlbury has been fixed now! Patience is the name of the game I think. I'm sure we've all been on plenty of steam charters where timings only appeared on RTT the day before.

I wasn't aware VT were expected to plan their trains around those just wanted to see it nor that they know so little of running main line trains that one in a weeks time won't have even been submitted yet

Sorry Don thought you were referring to the Lickey trips.
Any plans I may have had for Didcot were scuppered when the GP surgery rang and said he wants a phone consultation that morning.
With the Notional Health Service saying no would give me no idea when the next date offered may be.

A GP is willing to talk to you on a Saturday morning?! I'd buy a lottery ticket right now if I were you!

Well now I don’t of course. Perfectly reasonable request since it’s not open to the public to travel on it and reasonable to want to see it as part of the day at Didcot.

Like you, I saw it said cancelled on RTT for the Humberstone Road trip. However if you now search on Tyseley Steam Trust for today it's no longer listed as cancelled on the results page but if you click on the actual trip to get the timing details it does say cancelled.
However the return from Humberstone Road doesn't show cancelled.
    Confusing or what??????
