This is the first article in a short series on the tramroad and later railway that served the Penrhyn Quarries, bringing slate down to Porth Penrhyn...

Again a very good read. Many thanks Roger.
I have often walked around the port area making chuffing noises, whilst idly thinking one day I'll bring my third scale Quarry Hunslet to stretch her legs there

Really interesting read, I keep promising myself a walk around to try and take in the remains of the railway when Im working in that part of the world!

My second article about the Penrhyn Quarry Railway covers the line built for steam locos. This article considers the line from Porth Penrhyn to Felin-Fawr and the entrance to the Quarry. I have not covered the preservation activities which for a time were active at Felin-Fawr. A further article will deal with the quarry's internal railways. ....

Again a good read. I had not realised how much is now open as a footpath so that has been added to my list of things to do next time I am in the area.
Nice to see in other pages you model of Barr's Court station. We had a version in 00, the station building is an impressive structure.

Yes, thank you, the N gauge version was made for me by my late father-in-law.
