If the nameplates have been removed it won't be considered good timing. [BJ]

As I understand it there is no public agreement for 1450 to return to the SVR, but the relationship between the owners and Railway is good and when the overhaul is complete another agreement is possible. Their two auto coaches remain on the SVR

    Happy to be corrected

The SVR Wiki has a page on the owning company https://www.svrwiki.com/Pull_Push_Limited#cite_ref-1

I’ve had the photos from my Dad, as ever I seem to keep missing Mr Thompson’s mixed traffic 4-6-0’s

The SVR has just announced that 34027 Taw Valley will be painted in the Southern wartime black during their winter shutdown, as with less than a year to go till withdrawal for overhaul they're opting for a low labour scheme. Concept picture and full statement at: https://www.svr.co.uk/2022/11/04/se...ls-wartime-livery-for-its-famous-purple-loco/

It may be completely ahistorical for the engine, but I'm thinking it'll definitely be worth a trip to see.

I mean, why not? I dare say the owner(s) has been consulted.
TV has a habit of being in 'interesting' liveries.

As someone who was very against the purple, I quite like this. It might seem hypocritical and I probably am being so, but at least it's a livery which has a historical precedent (albeit not on these locomotives, and definitely not looking like this).
