In a FB post the Spa have said 'Keith' is leaving there on Tuesday do does that mean Manston is clearing out of its way of it shortly? Or is 'Keith' going somewhere else?

    At least the return
At least the return of steam was followed by some rain, which means the residents of Gilbert Road who were complaining to the railway (and my dad because he is a member) about the noise and diesel fumes may be happier.

If you choose to live next to a railway what do you expect?

I agree, although will also admit that the smell of a Bulleid or U is somewhat preferable to diesel fumes.
The thing that did make me laugh though was about 2 or 3 days in to the fire ban diesel running my dad said he went down for a ride to find it was all diesels. I know at nearly 96 he is a little deaf, but his flat is opposite the water column, though he might have noticed.

Dorset Steam Fair first, then on to Swanage while it awaits Manston to come out of the works.

Just watched the rather unique sight of the DMU arriving back at Swanage when it should have been towards the other end of the line, D6515 backing down and then departing with the DMU on the webcam.
Despite not having left the house for a week (post Covid effects)I may have to struggle up the bridge to get an image assuming it runs like that for the rest of the day.
    EDIT
A couple of images attached of the arrival and departure of the 15:30 from and 16:15 to Norden.
Can someone remind me what the bar over the route number means?

It looks fairly clear that something has happened, although we'll probably have to wait until tomorrow to find out what.

    From SWRG:

''The single railcar has failed at Swanage whilst coupled to 2 coaches of the resident 3 car unit - D6515 run around at Swanage to take service 20 late to Norden

D6515 15:10 departure off Swanage for Norden with a very poorly DMU in tow''.

I believe the concrete pads/hard-standing are being redone to enable the jacks to be moved in parallel to the track to suit lifting of different length vehicles. The current concrete pads are only suitable for Mk1 vehicles as the old jacks didn’t have wheels enabling them to be moved about, whereas the new jacks ex. Bournemouth Depot do

Hope they can get the 60 yr old DMUs sorted OK, they have had a good running in after the overhaul. It's not clear from the timetable if there will be an evening DMU service for those camping at the classic vehicle show Sept 9-11?
    From the SR page
"Great news - from today we are back to running 2 steam engines on our yellow timetable!
Todays locomotives are 34028 ‘Eddystone’ and 34072 ‘257 Squadron’"

Well of you look at FB she and D6515 were working together on steam replacement services but then they announced at short notice only D6515 was working on her own due to a failure and then it was D6515 and the DMU.

Maybe, I had always assumed it was more down to load factors, but as I was ill at the time it was just an assumption.

En route to Poole Hospital this afternoon SKP passed the other way on the Wareham bypass.
Dropped into Norden on the way back and just being offloaded. IMG_9678.JPG IMG_9680.JPG
