Personally for me they should de accession the Q1 & 3440 city of truro.

3440 when it ran at bury on the east lancs seemed in generally good nick. Think it got withdrawn with a supposed leak on the boiler barrel. However it was very well loved.

The Q1 a load of us would adore such a unique loco back working.

The NRM wouldn't need to de-accession the Q1 or 3440 to put them back in working order.

I really would like to see the Q1 back in service, but I think it's justified as part of the National Collection. The Bluebell Railway's own website says they'd love to have it back.

It would be geographically incorrect but it would suit Wensleydale quite well. Bet the Spa Valley or K&ESR would welcome it too.

Still people would love to see 3440 a working loco again.

Quite unique & it was always a crowd drawing loco.
