    I have always thought that 4953 was an odd purchase for the EOR - she is too big for such a small line. Even if they hire her out and use the fees to hire a smaller engine, they might benefit financially from the greater economy if operation.

    I could be wrong but I’m sure I read somewhere (maybe even here) that it is being run in at the GCR but is not being used for public runs much the same as Royal Scot at the SVR.

    I suppose to see 4953 would be to visit the epping ongar line in late winter 2020 or early spring but 4 me a very early LNER train from leeds to london KX and up to epping and on a G.N. metroploitan train
