    Your second sentence says it all, Steve! Authenticity is all very well, but being able to get water into the boiler when needed takes priority. We've done the same with 2968.

    Johnb beat me to the punch. As that's pretty well what I'd heard too. It being an interpretion by Vulcan Foundries. It almost echos the slightly different shades of Apple Green used at North Road [Darlington] and the Plant [Doncaster] on the LNER.
