from looking at the Eastleigh 100 website there are only due to be 3 bulleids at Eastleigh 100, Manston, Can pac and Wadebridge with Clan Line calling in for a few hours on Saturday afternoon with a railtour. Last time I checked, that wasn't 7 as mentioned earlier. Are there any other bulleids sheduled to come?

fingers crossed doe braunton, tangmere, eddystone and maybe even Sir archibald sinclair, though i doubt it.

Schools class 928 Stowe may also be coming from the bluebell railway.

I thought 34067 was also heading a rail tour to Eastleigh for the open weekend.

There's about as much chance of 34059 attending as there is of repatriating Waddon for the event I'm afraid.

Glad to see that your crystal ball is working so well and you can confidently make statements about completion of the loco when the owning group aren't even prepared to hazard a guess! ](*,)

As far as I can see, the current line-up on the Eastleigh 100 website is by no means final, which is why there are still some asterisks next to some of the locomotives. So for all we know, there could be yet more Bulleids than what they have listed already...

It would be good to know in advance how many Bullieds are going to be at Eastleigh. We will be able to order the right amount of Oxygen & Propane to cut the bloody things up!

Why not take the advantage & rebuild them properly?
Realign the wheels to 90deg, throw the middle cylinder away, bigger outside cylinders, outside stephensons, nice low running plates with decent splashers, copper cap chimney, Westinghouse pump on the side of the smoke box, screw reverse, big bogie tender with plenty of water capacity etc etc.
You might end up with an easy to maintain useful loco.
There has been discussions along these lines at a premier preserved railway recently, they are even calling this rebuild plan the 'Sibley class'.
    You never know..........

No need for handbags. As Bob14001 can't spell Bulleid, I doubt he'd recognise one if it ran him over so they'll be quite safe from his gas axe.

    So, taking out 35005, 35028, 34070, 34007, 34046 & 34067 as ones to either be confirmed/mentioned/rumoured as going.

That leaves 34028 as the only other operational one that could attend, and 5 static "complete" Bulleids. 21C123, 34016 & 34081 seem the more likely canditates over 34051 & 34105.

Or perhaps 35010 could pop over (without a tender) to gather some more interest for her restoration \:D/

Will be interesting to see if there will be a 7th Bulleid attending, and which one it will be. =P~

Well you can pretty much count out 34081 as we've no plans to send her and haven't been invited anyway but if we get a last minute invite who knows?

    And your point is?

We do seem to be digging up the same topics on every thread at the moment. 34059's restoration seems to be appearing everywhere but it is just same thing being said about it again and again.

I appreciate this is a thread about Bulleid's and 34059 is a Bulleid, but nothing new has actually been said recently as far as I'm aware.

But it already has been in the appropriate thread!

    viewtopic.php?p=272873#p272873

I'm beginning to wonder whether this thread is actually going anywhere, only recent;y it's been discussing 34059, which has it's own thread, and the Eastleigh open day, which also has it's own thread. As it's clearly going beyond it's original remit, maybe it's time for it to be abandoned?
