Did the Ffestiniog ever have a diesel railcar? I have an old note that says the FR built a railcar in 1970, but nothing else. Any ideas?

Also had the push pull set in the past that the two Baguley diesels could work with

Nearly, one Planet (Conwy Castle) and one Baguley (Criccieth Castle). The other Planet (Upnor Castle) was never PP fitted, and the other Baguley (Harlech Castle) hasn't ever been a passenger loco - in fact only got Vac fitted in the last 5 years.

Given the 1970 date, I suspect the "railcar" mentioned is the original push-pull combination of Moel Hebog and Carr 110.

You must have missed the 2019 Beer Festival where it spent all weekend hauling passenger trains around with the Upnor Castle

Heh, I ignored it. I'd imagine Fred would have kittens if you described Ina as a passenger engine.
