Usually both stop in the stations, but there are no scheduled passenger stops it seems. Just a passing point as is usual the DSR when more than one train runs. Passing can take place at Goodrington as well. An accurate stopping place is needed at Churston (it was and presumably still is) as signals will not change if the train has not passed by a certain point. Sometimes long charters can make things different for a change. ;)

The tour is only going to Paignton, not Kingswear. On arrival at Paignton it then goes ecs to Goodrington CS until the return working later in the afternoon.

I plan on coming down, taking a trip on the railway, but also taking some photos.

I would like to get a shot overlooking Maypool Viaduct, this sort of position.

Can anybody tell me if this is viewed from the private road that leads to Maypool boathouse?

You could ask the occupants of the farm where there is a track leading up to the top of the hill.
The road to Maypool boat house puts you below the viaduct. There is a track from Bridge Road, a mile about, that takes you close, but I haven;t been down it for years.

I thinking that the steam charters will be going to Kingswear... is the start of two train operation likely too?

Saphos are running steam tours to Kingswear on Sundays 26th July & 2nd August, yes.

Two train operation begins tomorrow and then runs Monday to Thursday for the rest of July & August (excluding 31st August), looking at the website (when you click book now), as gives trains running every 35mins.

Seems 5239 has failed today with the 37 out replacing it according to facebook posts.

I must admit that 5239 didn't sound her best yesterday.

5239 came past Goodrington beach light engine just before midday, guessing that was either a proving run or heading to the workshop at Churston. We were having some family beach time this morning but I was kicking myself for not booking to travel today when I realised the 37 was out! Both it and the Manor were sounding fantastic on the bank.

    England at its best ...

GWR Manor Class 7827 Lydham Manor runs alongside the River Dart then ascends from Kingswear and is about to enter Greenway tunnel passing under the grounds of Greenway House, the home of Agatha Christie.
This is Maypool viaduct and the River Dart at Glampton.

Was in Dartmouth last Monday - did not have time to travel, but I was impressed by the slick operation. Trains every 35 mins ex Kingswear 75014 and 7827 doing the honours; trains appeared to load well. Will be down for a ride in a few weeks. Pic attached by my late father John - at Paignton Summer 1973 when 4472 visited.
