Good news for me because finally a tour down the harbour I am about and can follow. Should be a good run, I see on Railway Touring Company website it says 'possibly last' or words to that effect, be intresting to see how many more can be squeezed in!

Well the tour is up on UKsteam.net so I doubt it is a "rumour" now. Something to look forward to :)

So what's going on them? Past-time annouced 70013 going to Folkestone in the newsletter to passengers on the Yuletide Torbays. Now I see the tour this is RYTC. Is this the same tour or is Past-time running on another date?

I've just been on NRE and while looking to get a train to folkestone, it says that on march 14th the line will be closed between Folkestone Central and Dover Priory - is that confirmed, and is it going to scupper this trip?

This trip has already been pathed. It doesn't go east of Folkestone East.

The line was also closed onto Dover when Tangmere was last down the branch a few weeks ago.

Yes the line is blocked beyond Folkestone East and the tour can run OK. The possession limits are Folkestone East to Dover Priory on Saturday and Folkestone East to Canterbury East / Deal on Sunday. Possession limits are normally assumed to be "clear of" a location unless otherwise stated. This means the route will be clear into the carriage roads at Folkestone East.

    Cheers, Neil

Just checked on Rules of the Route through the Network Rail web site.
