    A last minute decision resulted in me paying a visit to the NNR during their mince pie specials. 69621 was the motive power in operation as Ring Haw had failed.

    A replacement baffleplate needs casting after the old one disintegrated and fell into the fire and there is a small steam leak on a join in the firebox. Not a major repair but unfortunately not going to be completed in time for it to haul any more Mince Pie Specials.

    News hot off the press - Ring Haw MAY make a return to service this weekend. Unfortunately the N7 has failed this evening and requires a repair to its blast pipe, so we are trying desperately to get Ring Haw back in service by the weekend.

    I'm informed by our shed staff Ring Haw was worked on last night and early this morning and will be running tomorrow and Sunday.
