I know this is sold as a Carol service train but it only arrives an hour before the service starts (based on the Abbey website) and must leave not long after it finishes. Unless you are in dining not much chance to get anything to eat or drink. Normally these trips have tended to use the regular 0845 path out of Victoria when RTC or UKRT have operated them. Also unusual to go back to Waterloo but still trundle through Staines and the Hounslow loop.

 

When I saw the departure time from London I was amazed.. Its usually in Sherborne aound 13.15.. They have added Salisbury as an option but their Carol Service is 10.45-11.45 so passengers wont see it.. Sherbornes Carol service, on their Web site as Steam Dreams Carol Service starts at 16.30 so as Gladiator 5076 said they wont see end of it unless its only for an hour then theres a rush to the station.... Better tell the Digby Tap to get more beer in!!
