Most recent report I saw :-

On the Deltics FB group, Jake Atkinson posted this:

"The new Rail Express reports Gordon will be moved to Margate for storage, and that PU 406 has gone to a “specialist” in the north west for repairs to bring RSG back to 2 units....."
I haven't seen the magazine myself, but I did see on their website that this news is in the June issue, under 'Preservation News'.

    Also...

In the press release last November, it also said, "Moreover we are pleased to confirm that the previous owners of these fantastic locomotives will be remaining with them, to work alongside our teams to restore and maintain them in the best possible condition for running on the mainline." Any news on how that is working out, Martin Walker?

    Reply... which is rather sad...

Probably time this group was shut down, heard nothing at all from them Andrew, so must assume that was just bullshit!!

Thank you for the replies. It's a shame if Martin and his team are being 'shut out', they put a lot of hard graft (and money) into the 2 locos.

Pics posted after the recent open day, show RSG in as acquired condition.
2 engines in place, nothing seems to have been done...

It's a sad time to be a deltic fan that's for sure.

The most recent news was an insurance settlement had been agreed after the incident outside Edinburgh, and repairs were about to start.
That was about 6 weeks ago, and nothing since.
