Looks like tomorrow's train drops passengers at Leamington Spa for their coach tours then goes to Tyseley for servicing. The ECS move from Tyseley is timed for 45mph, suggesting tender-first steam loco rather than a diesel. The return leaves Stratford at 1715.

And the return will feature (NR permitting) another fast run up the GWML from Didcot East to Acton West Junctions. Booked even time for this section so another opportunity to witness steam on a fast pass of Reading. Sad that it will all be in the dark but a good opportunity for some atmospheric shots from the master photographers on here.

Radley. I suspect there may be a TSR on the down here, as the 800's also appeared to lay it back a bit, not so the Networkers & Voyagers who gave it full pelt.

Amazed at how few were out to see this today - given it's a comparatively unusual route for steam and Clan Line - no-one at Banbury except for us and our 3 year old grandson who has spent all day saying train ever since - job done I think!

Was even more impressive on the main line at Cholsey in the morning. Only two of us were standing on the wrong platform.

I know it was lovely ! Midweek steam can sometimes go under radar and keeps the idiots away !

Yes I am an active volunteer
A couple of mine. First just south of Bishops Itchington on the run to Leamington, second approaching Widney Manor with the ECS on the way to Tyseley (not my first choice of photo at Widney Manor but couldn't get the photo I wanted uploaded for some reason).

Another solid show from Clan Line ! I went back to Wilmcote for part 2 and the run over the top and through the Station felt like an upgrade on July's run !
Nice to have the lineside quiet for a change !
