In the sunshine at Cumwhinton on the return this afternoon :

Very frustrating when the forecast didn't come to fruition at Greengates, where the sun was typically 15 seconds too late for the train. Here's hoping 'Bahamas' gets another S&C run.....

Bahamas will get quite a few cracks at the S&C before it’s boiler ticket is up I’m sure. Alert from your shot the results posted vindicate my reluctant decision not to do battle with the M1 & M6 to do this one.

'The Waverley' hauled by LMS No.45596 'Bahamas' on the 18th August 2019.

Seen today at Colton Junction, Consiston Cold, Sheriff Brow Viaduct, Ais Gill Summit, Hellifield and Killingbeck. What a superb noise it made climbing from Leeds to Cross Gates this evening :)

The sun broke through at exactly the right time at Lunds on a very wet day.

And a portrait of the crew on the way back south.

Nice shot of the pyrotechnics blasting out of leeds in the early dusk skyline.
