Does anyone know whether there is an estimated completion date for the restoration of the NG15 No.134?

I can find nothing on their website that predicts even a rough date for its entry into service.

I was at a behind the scenes tour at the FR/WHR at the weekend. I saw the tender for the NG15 at boston lodge more or less complete, but needed painting. the engine is at dinas stripped down and the group is currently refurbishing the frames. They mentioned a target completion date of 2015, but as we all know restorations can overrun. best of luck to them and im really looking forward to riding behind it in service.

The Tender is sitting on the cleaned up tender frame from 133. The 134 tender frames are also being refurbished. (And hopefully redesigned a bit to make servicing the brake gear a tad easier - how they ever changed brake blocks on the original 'pannier tank' tenders is a mystery!) The cylinders have just been rebored and now we spend more time putting things back together than taking them off :)

There are regular gangs working on her on Tuesday evenings and typically one weekend a month. Other bits and pieces get done as well.

I'm just unskilled labour so don't take any of my comments on her as having any engineering knowledge or official standing whatsoever :)

2015 is the current target. A lot, as ever, depends on funding. If anyone would like to contribute please feel free to contact me!

Here's the tender top, photographed last weekend during the Colonel Stephens event:

I like the water-sprinkler built into the top rail on the coal bunker.... at least I think it was!

Btw, out of curiousity does anyone know what hauled the tender down from Dinas to the WHHR? I see the simplex tripped it over to Blodge afterwards.

Upnor Castle (I think, I did not see it get delivered, but Upnor was tagged on the back of the next service train to pass after it was delivered to P-Y-M)

Some very exciting news on the NG15 Facebook page:

"134's boiler will soon be away to Loughborough for overhaul. It will be away for approx 12 months being worked on as and when"

I’m really looking forward to seeing an NG15 in action. Does anybody know if the former WHHR one is progressing?

Quite a bit has been occurring on No.134. This site link below gets updated more frequently than the Facebook page, with the latest stuff tending to appear in the 'Working Party' link, before 'Latest Progress'. I normally pick up on this one's progress on my 'daily website trawl' via Barrie Hughes' (unofficial) WHR site. Search for "isengard.co.uk".

You mean No. 120 - I don't think anyone really knows where it is, except the owner. It's rumoured to be in Collection X, but there again, that's only a rumour.
