The Companies House website address is for the Registered Office only, which may well be that of a Solicitor, Accountant, etc., involved in the initial setting up the Company/Society, and who may well have little or nothing to do with the running of the organisation.

However, the website 'Locomotive 6201 Princess Elizabeth Society Limited' contains another address which is more likely to be that of the Secretary (or other official) of the Society to whom enquiries should be made.

Please note that I made no issue with the content of the newsletter and my Dads funeral collection so please don't try to create an issue regarding this. It is highly disrespectful to both the Society and the My Dad's family and I would appreciate an apology for this. I will put on record that all who donated were written to by Clive and personally thanked for their generosity

The magazine is changing editor at present and I was pleased that the trouble was taken to put an obituary in.

With all this talk of addresses I assume that there is a contact address for members in the 6201 newsletter which I believe was recently published which they can use to contact the society, and air their views etc.

Any current 6201 members who feel like calling for an EGM should indeed contact the secretary who's address can be found in the current 6201 newsletter quoting their membership number, failing that if they wish to contact me, I will supply his address.

Only what we expected Spotter. The old,old story, ignore it and it will go away. Not the first time and certainly wont be the last.

Sorry Spotter but if you can't tell us who you are then I can only surmise you are a troll and your comments should be treated accordingly

Do you have the commitment to give to 6201 the way that so many committee members have , and I mean years , not just the glory but all the grime , the knockbacks , the hard slog . Main line steam accounts for peoples lives, more important than marriage maybe . Can you offer that ?

You jusge the committee and those running the engine , is this trial by internet , in the same way the Bluebell is getting criticised ?

Perhaps you could explain why remaining anonymous on a forum such as this should make one a troll and, by implication, untrustworthy? And also why comments by those who may not be hands-on-members are unreliable, and vice versa?

Trolling over.... I'm just interested in whether the loco will be back in action soon - anyone willing to shed any light on how the various inspections went?

Remember Sidmouth, Roy Kerry was a long standing committee member, and a much respected engineer, BUT he felt the need to RESIGN not retire as stated in the Railway press.

Simon Redford a long standing , committed member of the support crew also has resigned. Both these men devoted their lives to this loco, and the way forward will be very difficult without them.

If you do not know who Spotter is (and why should we) how can you judge the man. He may also have given as much as anyone else to this loco.

Perhaps he is an insider. Somebody who is sticking his neck out for something he believes in but does not want a leak to inpact on the rest of his work/business/private life.

and leading an anonymous campaign on an internet is going to help ?

This isn't deep throat we are talking about , it's group of volunteers who are not engaged in SAS activities that need whistleblowing

Very few of those posting has said if they are members which if they are not are leads to the conclusion that they are seeking to make unnecessary trouble in business that nothing todo with

Unless people are prepared to be transparent how can anyone take you seriously ?

Not wishing to be boring or anything but I'm going to ask again...
Because I've never managed to find a web site for them. The last time I asked a working member, he didn't think they had one!

Enter 'Locomotive 6201 Princess Elizabeth Society Limited' into Google then look at:-

    http://www.railwaypeople.com/rail-direc ... 2805.html-

It doesn't seem to work if you just click on the above.

    Thanks, that's what I thought.
Odd though, in this day and age.
