Screenshot_20190503-091412.png If all goes to plan there will be an unusual move for 60009 on Tuesday 7th May. The loco will go tender first, propelling its Support Coach along the up E&G for just over two miles, from Bo'ness Ground Frame to the loop at Linlithgow. As shown above this move is provided for but rarely used. At Linlithgow the loco will reverse, cross over to the down line and head for Carmforth.

Are there any other places where similar moves take place?

Pity someone doesn't, by my reckoning 10A presently has on shed....

    A Duchess
    A Princess Royal
    2x Jubilees
    1 Royal Scot
1 5MT (or maybe 2 if 44871 is going back there?) plus 44767 in bits.
    1 8F
    2.5 Bulleid Pacifics

There is a hell of a photographic charter there!

After GB12 duty, 61264 is passing through Wetheral enroute to Grosmont - 03.05.19.

    You've got Clan Line..............be satisfied.:D
10A needs a decent pool of loco's, they don't spend all their time being polished, their work is varied (very), they venture far and wide and when they get home it's a quick wipe down with a bit of cotton waste and "get it ready and get it out earning".

    ;);)

60163 is at Crewe. Is 61306 really likely to move to York...

60103 is to move to York ahead of the Highlands and Islands Steam Dreams tour. But whether or not it’s fit to run after failing yesterday...

My apologies - numbers in a muddle! A friend is booked on the Highlands & Islands tour and informed by the team at Steam Dreams yesterday that Mayflower is fit to run and moves with Scotsman (60103!) to York tomorrow.

Ah, that was yesterday, Scotsman today terminated at reading and passengers disembarked, so maybe, it was a minor injector fault but I would double check with whoever looks after Scotsman before counting that as fact.

Ah well, seems others think it will be going to York from Southall...

Reported as ''61306 + 60103 to York. Through Acton Mainline 10:25''.

    Presume diesel free. <BJ>
