    To commemorate the closure, 50 years ago, of the final Nottingham to Rugby service, the GCR will be having a special diesel rail-car running day on the Friday with two DMU sets running, one in green, the other in blue and grey livery. Details on the website. Here is my picture of the closure notice that was up on the Leicester Central noticeboard. 2013-01-17_25.JPG

    The "new" DMU set appeared to be in all-over blue livery when I saw (bits of it, through gaps in other stock) hiding in the sidings south of Loughborough yesterday..........
