    Which Black 5s are going to Scotland on Tuesday as 44871 and 45407 are at Steamtown with 45212 joining them tomorrow. Is there a chance it could be a triple black 5 journey?

    Can anyone confirm that the ECS for the Jacobite is heading north tomorrow (Tue 16/04) as per timings in RTT ?

    I take it there will be two steam engines + a diesel on it !

    5407 in steam today but 44871 is not. As there is only one train on the Jacobite until the 13th May both locos are not required, but the one heading north with the Great Britain will probably then go to FW.
    A 37 will of course also be on this first movement.

    Sounds like 44871 will do the Great Britain then move south then? "The Black Five" (as described in the blurb) comes back as far as Carlisle after the Scotland days of the GB.

    More speculation, but my guess would be with that path being the day before the GB over Shap, today's and that were both for 45212 both entered in the system so there is choice when to bring it over. As 45212 has come over today, the 29th won't be needed.
