    Pat Goss, GWR 813 Founder & Admin and myself will be attending the Battlefield Railway Gala on Saturday. We will be adorned with 813 style badges. Please feel free to come and say hello! We do not bite unless asked. I will be doing a rather strange round about route to get there.....Poole- Thornbury- Shackerstone - then back the same way. And this heritage railway stuff is supposed to be fun! Looking forward to saying hello to all who care.

    Went to Martin's charter on Thursday night and came back for a ride on Saturday afternoon. Had a nice journey on the autotrain followed by a nice beer on the main set! Hope the gala was a success for the line, believe this is the first one they have done there since 2015? Was Sir Gomer supposed to be running too? Didn't see it at all on Saturday - not to worry as three engines was plenty enough.
