My footage of 45212 and the inaugural run of Swanage Mogul 31806 hauling Day 7 of The Great Britain XI. Filmed near Dundas Aqueduct, Witham Friary and Evershot Bank. Enjoy.

Stick your headphones on, crank up the volume to 11, turn up your hearing aid, its all about the noise

Looks like the set has acquired an extra coach at some point - an RMB at the back?

Yes I am an active volunteer
You must have been in a different place to me then because when it came past me on Upwey platform, 31806 was shoving for all it was worth.!
I will agree that on the approach to Bincombe in the 'down' direction with the U leading and Black 5 banking, there appeared to be more noise at the back than the front!

Assuming you meant me - Likewise, a good chat in (mostly) good weather and 31806 putting on a show.

I'll post my images from there ( Melbury Bubb ) and Upwey either later today or across the weekend

Had a good day out for day 8 of the GB. Managed to get four shots at Strap lane,Melbury Bubb, Winterbourne Monkton and Moreton. Original plan was for Bincombe for the last shot but we were not sure of getting a good shot so went to Moreton ...

Yes I was on the platform end with a number of others. Perhaps the noise from the 5 damaged my recorder or maybe I need a new hearing aid!

Can't believe how little in the way of performance info has come off GBXI. Yesterday's climbs looked impressive on the videos. So what were the speeds at Strap Lane; at Chetnole; into the tunnel at the summit of Evershot; and into Bincombe tunnels 1&2 Al??
