I think it is responsibility for bridge maintenance that was the sticking point.

That makes sense. At least one of the over-bridges is propped up with a great big concrete buttress, so, I suppose, there's the potential for money to be spent, a bit beyond a lick of paint here and there.

The CVR still run a weed killing train from Leek Brook to Endon twice a year and cut any overhanging branches. So there is still hope.

When the temperature is -5 and everything is frozen solid -what should OAPWay do. Trim back a few more trees and have a big bonfire

The two Mark 1 coaches that CVR borrowed for the Autumn/Winter have now arrived home safely in Norfolk, and unloaded in blizzard conditions!

A good day today with Iain & Glynn working on the Bruff. Not only did we solve a few problems but we got past the big milestone of getting it rolling on rails. The first time it must have done that for 20+ years. Video to follow

24 hours without internet at home delayed uploading the video of the Bruff moving on rail and road wheels.

  8. Funny, I was only thinking yesterday that MCR was an eternally popular (and occasionally contentious) topic on here a while ago, but now it all appears to have gone completely silent.

Sad news - p /wayman died this week, so no more news from his hand. A real stalwart of the CVR PWay team and will be sorely missed.

'tis always sad when a good member of the community passes, even someone whom you know only on-line.
Best wishes to his family, friends (and the CVR p/way).
