I see 51188 from the EVR is soon to be heading this way for a year, is this to cover for maintenance of the NRM 101 or for something else?

Additional motor car is to provide back-up until we have both the NNR and NRM units operational later in the year. Will ensure we don't have to resort to diesel loco hauled operations when the unit is out of action. Will also permit longer down time for regular maintenance.

Sounds a little cheaper than running a peak around all day, if a little less fun. How is the NNRs powercar progressing Steve?

A discussion on another thread regarding the lack of requests to hire the J15 made me wonder which of the NNR home fleet received the most hire requests? I would have thought the B12 but Wissington leads a very nomadic existence.

Many thanks for the summary report Chris - it really shows just how much work you guys have got through during 2017!

Thanks for all the reports during the year, they really are very interesting and the standard of the NNR's carriages and wagons seems to reach new levels each year.

A Happy New Year to you all

Any plans for the B12 to be repainted in BR black? I actually quite like the look of it in BR lined black.

Off the top of my head, I think it is the ONLY working loco in LNER Green but still enthusiasts want it to be 'just another' BR Black loco!

None I think, I love LNW lined black but to put it on something that wears Apple Green so well... It's a bit like asking Charlize Theron to promote Atomic Blonde then getting her to dye her hair another colour!
