Rather quiet thread this one. Goes to show Scotsman fever doesn't hit the enthusiast.

Anyone know of any gauging restrictions for this run?

 

Anyone know why it's been at Alfreton for over an hour?

Understand passenger on board taken ill awaiting ambulance

 

Going well at Arlesey this morning. Pity about the crap light.

 

Waiting an hour for an Ambulance ?

 

Had to be Vacuum fitted!

 

Filmed at Biggleswade and Loughborough - on the fast both times

 

How inconsiderate, all passengers should be given a health check before boarding!

 

Nice to see no diesel on the back, unlike the Steam Dreams tours. Also nice to actually see it blast through a station that does not have a speed restriction for this loco.

Quite a few insensitive posts I think

 

Scotsman pounding along the ECML at Arlesey at the full permitted 75mph

 

The most famous steam locomotive in the world with the most pathetic whistle in the world..........why?

 

Surely nothing to do with Steam Dreams to take or not a diesel on the back? Operational decision by WCRC for many different reasons which have been debated ad infinitum and beyond already on this forum!

 

Its a A3 whistle ,that's why.

 

It obviously isn't working properly then.

 

Its the same as I used to hear at Huntingdon when spotting ,V2 were the same .LMS men working thro Huntingdon on the Kettering to Cambridge branch used to make similar remarks about feeble LNER whistles.
