Lighten up a little, it wasn't a serious suggestion. A Garratt would be a far more practical entity!

You asked a question serious or not. You got the straight answer. If your talking a Garratt then your not serious.

It wasn't a serious question hence the use of multiple exclamation marks, and no, I wasn't expecting a Garratt either, but I hink you'd have to admit, either of those would be an interesting gap in the R&ER history filled.

River Esk coming back is more interesting and important to the railways well being.

Am I right in thinking that the 15" gauge K1 has run on the R&ER in the past?

Yes - although I did not see it at the time - I only saw it on a video (remember them big black things full of tape long before YouTube or even DVD's)

Very impressive, is this running much earlier than previously expected? I've been meaning to visit the RER for years now (used to be a regular visitor in the 70s on family holidays but have rarely been back since) and this really is the impetus I need!

Can I just say what a fantastic little piece of kit that is? Wow! Looks a and sounds wonderful! Fair play to all those involved they've done a wonderful job. All we need now is young Mr Awdrey to come up with a new book. Juan the Spanish Engine maybe? (Tongue firmly in cheek!)

I think there has been a decision on both name and livery ...

Last seen (22 Feb '17) on a low-loader, heading off from Ravenglass for some further TLC.

    Ah, thanks. @Nigel Day
I was pretty sure of the name but not sure which blue for the livery, if you see what I mean.

Funny to see the sheep running away along the line, in front of the train. Why don't they just step to one side?

Because they are sheep . . . . . they are not known for their intelligence.

When you chase a sheep slowly they can walk for miles. If you make them run then they get out of breath and wil turn back or move aside. The problem only comes if they see an escape route on the opposite side of the track. Then and oly at the last moment will they cross immediately in front of you. Follow my leader is defiantly the game though.
