34081 was my last BB that was needed in my combined volume , saw her at Salisbury , but only once ......but did retrieve a sawn off bit of brake ejector handle from the cab in Barry Docks ...its sitting looking at me here in Canada ....well done lads and ladies at the Nene valley --great job ...

Just a small correction, the Nene Valley is 34081's home but the work is carried out by the lads and ladies of the Battle Of Britain Locomotive Society - her owners.
We won't be asking for our ejector handle back though. :)

Apologies for that -- credit where credit is due ...well done all involved , keep it up .....and the handle is of no use !-- it was sawn off , no attachment left , found it on the cab floor in the corner , will keep it safe if you ever need a pattern ...lol ........

Big, big day at Wansford today. The man from the insurance company, he say yes. Lots of happy BBLS bunnies as a result.

Excellent news and congratulations to all. So it is possible for an unrebuilt Bulleid Pacific to move around without sounding as though it is out of time and has something loose. Such a welcome change to hear a BP as it should sound.

Looks and sounds beautiful, a credit to one and all.

Incidentally is the Fire Marshall on the footplate a requirement for all Bulleid's in case the Oil Bath self combusts? ;)

I'm not really a fan of spamcans, but that's one impressive looking loco. Congratulations to the BBLS for doing such a fabulous job.

Yes. I've seen his remarks praising the malachite green. Not bad for a man who obviously adores BR black. :)
Next job is the loaded test run.

I knew I should've tried harder to persuade the missus to let us pop into Wansford earlier, rather than just going for a walk round Ferry Meadows country park!
