Five would be my guess, but can't see it getting up the Lickey or Old Hill with that load.

Returning to Tyseley 'at reduced Speed' no more than 25 mph, suggests something running a little 'warm'. Loco will be examined there !

On the move according to RTT. Can see a max exodus if the 47 joins, but can't see any alternative.

Impressed, 9466 only working by the sounds of it, up to the 25 limit up to Wilmcote, sounded wonderful....

Min of 28 over Wilmcote. Currently at Tyseley. Class 47 being added. 9600 coming off. People including me will bail out at an extra stop at Moor Street. A long way to go for a Stratford return but there you go.

Planning to run as described with 47 on the front to Worcester. No water stop. Then 9466 will go to the front at Shrub Hill. Back to Tyseley with assistance. Many disappointed people but what can be done other than cancelling at Tyseley? The intent was pure steam. The execution was pure steam. Fate had changed the plan.

9466 still taking water. 47 on the front. I guess waiting for a path. Will the 45 mph be observed?

Lot of people looking forward to Birmingham Moor Street by sound of it onboard.

Delay in watering 9466 at Tyseley.

Very sorry for VT and the customers on the train. Glad I eventually decided against going on it, only because (for me) the hassle of getting even to Stratford to join it there would have outweighed the enjoyment of the trip itself.

I don't get why people will be disappointed or leaving the trip. We should all be lucky vintage trains are still running this trip. That steam will be fronting the trip from Worcester all the way to bromsgrove weather assisted or not will still be a entertaining run.

Seems that the work on 9600 whilst at Stratford had the desired effect but VT not willing to risk it on the rest of the tour.
