Probably the MTW thread as I haven't read the WSR Ops one for some time. Thanks!

That's a shallow dig come to expect from you,

You really want negative cause that was far from it,

So take your spoon and be off with you.

Would it be an idea not to knock my early views on it,

Just pointing out looks a tad dull so far same wtt same locos etc,

Do we have to put up with this continual moaning all the time ?

It's over three months until the gala. Let's wait until we know more until we make comments like those of above. <BJ>

I admire those who give there time and trouble to organise gala's . Its a thankless task with everyone always expecting more and better and often a diminishing pool of engines to choose from . Yes the infamous loco X from the far reaches of the back end of beyond railway would be nice but blowing the transport budget even if the loco is available may not deliver the gala of the enthusiasts dreams

The same thing going on with this thread as happened with the MTW one people making their points and just being shouted out by certain members of the railway, i dont think this looks good the the wider public, nobody is right ALL the time, oh and by the way has 34098 said sorry to Robin yet, aint seen it if he did. And in my opinion you do sir, i agree with your points but i definatley dont agree with the way you put them across
Havent got any particular opinions about the steam gala one way or the other, not being really into steam, but the same allegations that were laid at the door of the MTW ie. the same gala as last year etc. etc., seam to be a reoccurring thing

Oh dear how sad. The WSR Galas are always good and I sometimes make the 250 mile round trip on two days, one for photing and one for travelling. This year on the Saturday I will have to decide between the WSR and the Vintage trip with 5043

I have a feeling that this gala wont have a big engine maybe so i'm guessing a branchline affair.
More Tank Engines On The Cards i reckon.

Unfortunately most large engines are fully occupied on the mainline nowadays - even there, there are not always enough to cover the booked turns.
