The Hartford loop or should it be chord? is a very rare bit of steam track, hopefully when we eventually get the Coast to Coast it will be going that way....

Just for info, I think that NR held off with timings so RTT only went live when the train was under way.

    NRM on Facebook

'We're really sorry to announce that Flying Scotsman has suffered a mechanical problem and will not be able to haul today's run from York to London. The remainder of the run will be hauled by a diesel engine and all passengers have been informed.

We share your disappointment at this news, but unfortunately some problems are always possible when operating an engine of any type and age on the rail network. Our priority is now fixing the problem to ensure Scotsman is back in operation as soon as possible.'

You know you are not allowed to go on those sites and then come on here...;)

That's the last time you get 60103 in the North East, you have her for a few days and she comes back broken....:D

Given that I reported at 13:20 that RTT and OTT both had the times, how do you work that out?

Rugger, got a fantastic location to shoot this, suffered numerous agro and closed roads to get there, even got the timings with no issue, and then this

My dog hates me because I left her this afternoon, and my wife will hate me because I will be back early

So next question is I guess, will FS get south for Saturday? Unlikely

Old news - see post #24.
If it is an injector failure as reported then no amount of money spent on an overhaul can protect against that. The smallest bit of dirt can stop them from working, ask any fireman who's had it happen to them.

You can spend any amount of money you like, it doesn't make any bit of machinery invulnerable, injector failure is not uncommon and could be caused by foreign matter blocking the cones. Just another bit of bad luck.
