You might want to update the date caption on the second photo. Sunday 6th May 2016?

A timelapse that was taken by me, has just been uploaded to the Mid-Hants Youtube page. It was taken at the Autumn 2015 Steam Gala.
It's wrongly described as a sped-up video, it is a timelapse which is a completely different animal.

Great time lapse. Looks far better than a speeded up video.

Very funny when you can recognise some of the people. The Ops Manager strangely doesn't seem to be moving any faster than usual though ! ;) Richard covers a lot of ground in a day!

Nothing too exciting visible during my traipse around Ropley yard on Saturday evening.
The 9F was being prepared for the RAT, Cheltenham was simmering away in the background having finished for the day.

The S15 (30828) seems to have moved position since I last looked, now in the middle of the yard.

The Ivatt was looking very clean and shiny parked up ahead of No. 1 and next to Wadebridge.

Wadebridge was still in the yard, coupled to the class 11 shunter. Presumably she will be heading to the head-shunt soon as she looked very much in the way there.

Yep. Discussion on FB regarding the move is going mental! One comment is that the MHR have requested 37901 remains on the line till after the Diesel gala in April. Can anyone confirm this?

    Why?................

It wasn't owned by the line & the owner got a price he couldn't refuse, so let me guess the cranks are having a go at the line when its nothing to do with us, apart from giving us a headache in terms of available traction!

Boy am I glad I'm just one of the great unwashed & not management............... I'm assuming amongst all the froth they haven't checked the dieasel weekend details, things have changed from what was posted at the weekend on WNXX...........................

Actually Dave, the line is not being mentioned in any derogatory way (except for one numpty who thinks that all diesels should be kept away from the MHR but gives no reason!) Reading some of the comments leaves me wanting to bang my head against the nearest pre fabricated wall! They seem to believe that it their divine right to be able to see, photograph and ride behind these locos and it's "bang out of order" for anyone to sell them on without a buy back clause!
As I don't subscribe to WNXX I have no idea what was posted nor what has changed.

That makes a change! got a link?....

BTW a prefab wall is not as solid as a proper brick one - tis but plasterboard & noggin's - you'd find yourself looking out t'other side.......

Re WNXX, I don't subscribe either, but a comment was copied & pasted on the relevant thread on here.

    Bloody cranks!

So what's changed, have the visitors been ruled out or is the railways website as much use as a chocolate fireguard?

    22nd - 24h April 2016

Join us for a weekend of heritage diesels running to an intensive timetable. From our home fleet we will be running 1125 Hmpshire Unit, 50027 'Lion' and 33053.

I think the MHR web site needs updating.
