Love this reply Steve, made me chuckle and not a mention of Cornish Clotted Cream.

Even if it had stayed black, people would still be arguing the shade :) It looks fine. If you don't like it; don't look :)

I'm assuming (from the absence of negative news) that everything went ok yesterday and Scotsman will set off for London today?

If you subscribe to Freightmaster or Railcam you can bring up real-time track-circuit diagrams that show just where 571G is. As I type she is at platform 3 in Donny :)

Open train times offers similar but not all of the network is covered at the moment. Most of the ECML is but there's a gap in coverage south of Colton Jct. She'll reappear at Retford.

    Black, like priests socks?

Father Ted: That's right, Dougal. You see, ordinary shops sell what look like black socks, but if you look closely, you'll see that they're very, very, very, very, very, very, very dark blue.

Father Dougal: That's true. I thought my Uncle Tommy was wearing black socks, but when I looked at them closely, they were just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very dark blue.

Father Ted: Never buy black socks from a normal shop.

    [Whispers to Dougal]

Father Ted: They shaft you every time!

It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black.
