Mk 1 TSO 4614 moved from Mid-Norfolk to GWSR this week, hopefully should only be a light refurbishment! Also should be having a couple of bogie sets from the ELR arriving soon.

Ballast Brake Van ("Crew Brake") DE 470819 has been loaned to the Mid- Suffolk Light Railway and moved from Mangapps to Brockford last week. The van, which resembles a mid 19th century "Parliamentary" carriage, is to cover a temporary shortage of passenger carrying vehicles and will remain at the M-SLR until the autumn.

Today's sighting; a small SG industrial diesel shunter, possibly one of the Fowler 'offset centre cab' types, blue in colour, with its wheels and possibly gearbox out, (secured on the back of the trailer). M6 near Carlisle, heading south around 3pm.
Any ideas what, from/to where etc?

One from ELR has been out on loan to DFR IIRC D9537. Could be that one. Was it Desert Sand livery?

Looked like 2-tone green, it was north of the M62 junction, which I would have thought it would have taken if it were heading to Bury?

No I do not currently volunteer
I suspect it was the RSR based one ( sorry don't know number) but from photos on their Facebook page she was on the way back from Leicestershire via loader yesterday.

I would link to photos but don't have the IT literacy to do via Tapatalk.
