Footage I thought was long lost of tours over the S&C and the West coast mainline .

 

It's been a good while since my last upload and I felt uploading one large video rather than lots of little ones makes more sense. I'm out and about in a September with mixed weather and temperatures. I've managed to record A WCRC Class 47(760), Britannia, Mayflower & Tornado so all in all I'm happy!

47760 was supposed to look like a Duchess by the number of 46233 but it was not to be as she was declared to big for the Avon Valley and so the Class 47 was the substitute. I'm not complaining but I would've loved the shot with the Duchess but the time will come!

70000's footage did not go my way. Although it was redeemed by seeing a T&T Class 70 freight working, when in the midst of filming, my tripod decided to allow the angle lock for the camera to move and so I ended up filming a (modest alert!) really nice shot of 70000 pulling up the bank only to find the camera suddenly aiming up to the heavens! I managed to salvage some footage rather than just ommiting it but I'm not totally pleased with it.

61306 was a new location to try and I felt it was good......just a shame about the lousy rain! Mayflower was running a little late but could be heard from Trowrbidge so I knew she wouldn't be far off!

Finally, ending the video with 60163....I took both video and photo cameras for this one, the footage was not what I would've personally liked but I had very limited time so had to set up and make do with what I had. I think it turned out okay though but the mini tripod did not want to co-operate initially!
